It's been a busy week in the golf world, especially with the Open going on at the acclaimed Carnoustie - but something that's a little closer to home, and to Youth on Course, are the US Girls Junior and the US Junior Amateur happening this week.
In case you didn't know, Youth on Course National Headquarters is located at NCGA owned Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, CA. So, this week's 70th US Girls Championship at Poppy Hills is literally close to home.
The constant delays from the summer fog have not been making it easy for these girls, but, that didn't stop Lucy Li from taking top medalist honors for the second consecutive year in the stroke play portion of the event by shooting a 62 on Monday. Lucy Li is just one of 30 Youth on Course members in the field this week. Yealimi Noh (pictured above) hitting at the driving range.
On the other side of the country, the 71st US Junior Amateur is also taking place. 24 YOC members made it to Baltusrol Golf Club this week where there has been much more sun (pictured above).
We are so proud of all of the YOC members who have competed this week to claim the US Amateur titles!
