Youth on Course Welcomes Jennifer Kupcho as a National Ambassador

(PEBBLE BEACH, Calif.) Youth on Course — the non-profit organization dedicated to opening doors, supporting dreams and transforming the lives of young people through opportunities on and off the golf course – has named LPGA Tour player Jennifer Kupcho as its second national ambassador.

Kupcho joins Harold Varner III, who became the organization’s first national ambassador earlier this year, as official spokesperson for Youth on Course (YOC). In this role, she will advocate for the organization’s mission of providing affordable access to golf and bringing life-changing opportunities to young golfers across the country and in turn, help create a more inclusive and diverse future for the game.

“I learned about Youth on Course from friends at the Colorado Golf Association and I couldn’t believe this program is available for young golfers,” says Kupcho. “Growing up, it was important to my family to be able to find affordable courses where we could play together, and a program like this is truly life changing for families in similar situations. I’m proud to represent Youth on Course and hope to spread awareness of this amazing program to help benefit more kids like me.”

Through her relationship with the Colorado Golf Association, Kupcho will be making financial contributions to support YOC rounds for members in the state as well as raising awareness for YOC through her social media platforms, events and other great opportunities.

“Jennifer has been an incredible role model for young golfers, especially young girls, even before her historic win at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in 2019.” says Ashleigh McLaughlin, vice president of marketing and communications for Youth on Course. “Through her partnership with YOC, Jennifer is showing the importance of paying it forward and how each of us can make an impact on the future of golf. We couldn’t be more proud to call her a Youth on Course ambassador.”

“Jennifer Kupcho is a great example of what can happen when talent and passion meet opportunity,” says Ed Mate, CEO and executive director of Colorado Golf Association. “She will be a great ambassador for YOC as she shares the values of the program and has walked in the shoes of today’s junior golfers. We are thrilled to see one of Colorado’s own representing such an amazing program.”

Committed to making the game more appealing, inclusive and accessible to nurture the next generation of lifelong players and lovers of the game, Youth on Course provides more than 115,000 members with affordable access to play rounds of golf for $5 or less at more than 1,500 courses across the country and in parts of Canada. Members also benefit from career opportunities through Youth on Course’s caddie and internship programs and can utilize support for continuing education through their college scholarships. To date, more than $2 million has been awarded through the scholarship program.

In 2020, Youth on Course saw a significant rise in play with membership increasing by 56% and eclipsing one million rounds of golf played. Fueling the golf industry, 400,000 rounds of golf were subsidized, an increase of 100% from the previous year, and generated a total of $2.8 million back to golf courses from unused tee times.
