Hey there, YOC Members!
Looking for an organized opportunity to give back to your community and promote greater good? Look no further than the all new Youth on Course Volunteer Program, created by youth for youth!
What is the YOC Volunteer Program?
- Pre-organized weekend volunteer trips exclusively for YOC Members--all you have to do is sign up for each event and bring your permission form!
- Started by members of the Youth on Course Leadership Council and YOC Staff seeking to increase YOC's community outreach
- Coordinated primarily through a Facebook group
- Volunteer events take place in various regions of Northern California - with hopes to expand to other states in the future
Some of the benefits:
- Feel great about helping your community!
- Get exposure to multiple facets of the real world
- Fulfill school community service requirements
- Get a cool YOC Volunteer t-shirt
- Be a part of a vibrant network of junior golfers like yourself, from multiple regions
And if those aren't enough reasons to join…
Just by joining the YOC Volunteers Facebook group and signing up for a volunteer outing, you will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 iTunes Gift Card.
The YOC members who log the most volunteer hours by August 2017 through the YOC Volunteer Program will be proclaimed YOC "Volunteer of the Year" and earn a round of golf at Spyglass Hill GC and the coveted YOC Blue Jacket.
Our first volunteer trip is on Saturday, August 13th at Sacred Heart Community Center in San Jose. Space is limited, so sign up quickly on the event page on the Facebook group!
