This past Sunday, Youth on Course hosted its second-ever Member 100 Hole Hike at Mariners Point Golf Center and what a day it was. As we near the end of Youth on Course Month, this event reminded us all why we do what we do. It was more than just golf. It was about impact, connection, and the power of young people giving back to the game that’s given so much to them.

Members, alumni, scholars, and careers on course interns came together to take on the ultimate challenge: playing 100 holes of golf in one day, all to raise funds that keep $5 rounds going strong for future members. Despite windy conditions and hundreds of swings, they powered through, raising over $17,000 for Youth on Course, thanks in part to a generous anonymous donor. Every dollar raised brings more affordable access, more opportunity, and more life-changing experiences to youth in golf.

100 Hole Member Hike

This hike was a true full-circle moment. Many of these hikers have experienced firsthand what Youth on Course can do—how a single $5 round can open doors, build confidence, and shape a future both on and off the course. Now, they’ve stepped up to make sure the next wave of young golfers has that same chance.

Alumni members Keanu P. and Malia Loo reflected on the lasting impact of Youth on Course. Keanu shared, “Youth on Course is a great organization I’ve been a part of for almost 10 years. It’s made the biggest impact on my golf game. I’ve met so many people who have continued to support me along the way.” Malia added, “You should support Youth on Course because Youth on Course has a lasting impact. There are so many opportunities to grow and thrive in and out of golf.”

Members at the 100 Hole Hike

That’s the power of the 100 Hole Hike. It’s not just a physical challenge—it’s a statement. A commitment to pay it forward, to open doors, and to ensure that golf remains a game for everyone.

To those preparing for your own 100 Hole Hike later this year: let this be your motivation. If these members can take on 100 holes in a single day, so can you. You're not just hiking for fun, you’re hiking for purpose. For access. For impact.

Thank you to everyone who supported our member hikers. Because of you, more youth will experience the game in ways that can truly change their lives.
