“Sweet Sixteen” Celebrate Success in Youth on Course’s Hundred Hole Hike Fundraising Challenge

Sixteen golfers from San Jose, CA – dubbed the “Sweet Sixteen” – joined together to raise a minimum of $10,000 each to benefit Youth on Course while challenging themselves to complete more than five rounds of golf, at San Jose Country Club, in one day, during the organization's Hundred Hole Hike event.

Thanks to the immense fundraising efforts by the Sweet Sixteen and their businesses (pictured below), the group raised $250,945, shattering their base goal of $160,000.

“The Hundred Hole Hike is a remarkably challenging event that brings together golfers to work toward a common goal to help give kids access to this great game,” says Bill Baron, YOC supporter and Sweet Sixteen member. “We’re proud to have exceeded our goal and that everyone was able to complete this challenge."

“The dedication and fundraising efforts made by the Sweet Sixteen are beyond impressive,” says Jeff Clark, Youth on Course Chief Development Officer. “The donations made will make a significant impact, and we hope this group’s story will inspire others to donate or join the Hike themselves next year.”
