The Inaugural Youth on Course Summit took place February 27th & 28th at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, CA. Representatives from participating state and regional golf associations across the country attended to network and learn more about operating Youth on Course in their regions.

The days were filled with informational meetings where representatives could interact and discuss growing the game through Youth on Course. After the first day of meetings, surprise guest, Matt Ginella of the Golf Channel, who has been a great advocate for Youth on Course, joined everyone for dinner and golf competitions, including a “closest to the hole” chip shot from the balcony of the pro shop down onto the 9th green.

Day two started with breakfast and awards from the night before as well as congratulating Arizona and Utah on reaching 18 months of Youth on Course in their regions. Breakout sessions on day two dove deeper into programs and fundraising for Youth on Course. After the meetings, everyone played Poppy Hills Golf Course and the Summit concluded with dinner at Porters in the Forest.
It was a fun and informative few days in Pebble Beach and we’re already looking forward to next year! Thank you to all the Associations who attended.
