What is the difference between prepaid and pay-at-the-course GolfNow tee times?
With a pay-at-the-course tee time, you pay a small reservation fee at checkout and the rest of your rate when you check in. A prepaid tee time, is paid in full at checkout. Both follow the cancellation and refund terms set by GolfNow and/or the course, shown at checkout before you pay.
How are the two options different?
| Pay at the course | Prepaid | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid at checkout | A small reservation fee | Your full rate |
| Paid at the course | The rest of your rate | Nothing for the rate. |
| Cancellation and refunds | Set by GolfNow and/or the course | Set by GolfNow and/or the course. |
How can I tell which type of tee time I’m booking?
- At checkout: The Pay button shows how much you’ll be charged now. A small amount usually means a reservation fee, with the rest paid at the course. If the amount matches your full rate, the tee time is prepaid.
- In the terms: The checkout terms explain what’s included in your fee and how payment works.
What are Hot Deals?
Hot Deals are discounted, prepaid tee times offered through GolfNow. They’re not available at every course or in every area, and you may not see any in your search.
Always read the terms at checkout before booking one.
What should I expect at check-in at the course?
- Pay at the course: Check in with staff, show your reservation under Play > Reservations and pay the rest of your rate.
- Prepaid: Check in with staff and show your reservation. Your rate is already paid.
For either type, you don’t need to show your Youth on Course membership card, and the course’s own check-in rules still apply.
Where do I review cancellation and refund terms?
At checkout, before you tap Pay. Scroll through the terms above the Pay button. They may include several sections, such as:
- Course notes: what your fee includes, such as green fee and cart
- Tee Time Policy: whether the tee time can be cancelled or refunded
- Cancellation Policy: deadlines, such as 24 hours before your tee time, and what you’ll be charged if you cancel late
-
How do I cancel a tee time booked through the Youth on Course app?
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Only if your booking’s terms allow it. Some tee times are fully non-refundable. Others offer a refund only if you cancel before a deadline. Cancelling doesn’t automatically mean you’ll get a refund.
Are most tee times prepaid?
No. Most charge a small reservation fee at checkout, and you pay the rest at the course.
Are Hot Deals available everywhere?
No. They’re only offered at some courses and in some areas.
Is a prepaid tee time refundable?
Not always. Check the terms at checkout.
Where do I see the cancellation policy?
In the terms at checkout, above the Pay button.
Who sets the refund rules?
GolfNow and/or the course. Youth on Course can’t issue refunds.
