Why Does the Membership Show as Expired Even Though Payment Was Made?

In most cases, if payment has already been made and the membership is showing as expired, logging out of the app and logging back in will refresh the membership card and resolve the issue. If the membership still appears expired after refreshing, there may be a required task that has not been completed, such as Age Verification, Course Ready curriculum, or an unresolved member incident.

If a membership has been purchased or renewed but the membership card still shows Expired, the issue is usually one of the following:

Scenario 1: The Membership Card Needs to Be Refreshed

The most common cause is that the app is displaying outdated membership information.

To refresh the membership card:

  1. Log out of the Youth on Course app.
  2. Close the app completely.
  3. Reopen the app.
  4. Log back in.

In most cases, the membership card will immediately update and display the correct membership status.

Scenario 2: A Required Task Has Not Been Completed

A small percentage of memberships may be temporarily paused if a required task remains incomplete.

Examples include:

  • Age Verification
  • Course Ready curriculum
  • Required member education
  • An unresolved member incident or conduct review

If a membership has been temporarily paused, Youth on Course typically sends emails, text messages, app notifications, or other communications explaining what action is required.

Members and guardians should:

  • Check recent Youth on Course emails and messages
  • Review any assigned tasks in the Youth on Course app
  • Confirm that all required actions have been completed

Access Personalized Links Without Logging In

If access to the app is unavailable or a required task link cannot be located, personalized account links can be requested without logging in.

Visit:

https://youthoncourse.org/request-a-personalized-link

This tool can provide access to personalized links for items such as:

  • Age Verification
  • Course Ready curriculum
  • Membership management
  • Other account-related links

Age Verification Example

In most regions, golfers age 16 and older are required to complete Age Verification within a specified timeframe after registration.

If the deadline passes without completion, the membership may be temporarily paused until Age Verification is completed.

Once the required verification is successfully completed, membership access is generally restored automatically.

How Long Does Reactivation Take?

After a required task has been completed, memberships are typically reactivated within 24 hours.

Most members will see their membership status update automatically without needing to contact Customer Support.
