Why does Youth on Course require age verification for its members?

Age verification is required only for Youth on Course members ages 16 and older to ensure benefits are used by eligible youth and to protect access for junior golfers.

Youth on Course exists to provide affordable access to golf for young people. To protect that access, we need to ensure that program benefits are being used by eligible Youth on Course members.

We have confirmed cases of individuals misrepresenting their age to access youth pricing—impacting tee time availability and partner trust.

Age verification for members ages 16 and older helps us:

  • Ensure tee times go to real junior golfers
  • Prevent misuse of discounted rounds
  • Maintain trust with golf course partners
  • Keep the program sustainable and affordable

This requirement is intentionally limited to Youth on Course members ages 16 and older, where misuse has historically occurred, so younger families are not impacted.

This is not about questioning families—it’s about protecting access for all Youth on Course members.
