Why does Youth on Course require a unique email address for every member?

Each member needs a unique email because our system uses it as their individual ID

Due to recent system updates, our database now requires that each individual—both guardians and junior members—have their own unique email address. This is because email now serves as the primary contact ID in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management system), which helps us keep each member's records accurate and secure.

What does this mean for you?

Two individuals (even within the same family) can no longer share the same email address during registration.

If you're using Gmail or Yahoo, there's an easy workaround recommended in the help text on our registration form:
You can add a "+" and your junior member’s name before the “@” symbol.
For example, if your email is bob@gmail.com, you could use bob+sam@gmail.com for your junior golfer.

This email will be treated as unique in our system, allowing the registration to go through—but all messages will still go to your main inbox.

Youth on Course is a non-profit dedicated to giving youth access to life-changing opportunities through affordable golf. To support that mission, we occasionally send members operational emails such as:

  • Membership card access or requests

  • App password reset codes

  • Invitations to apply for free opportunities like clinics, scholarships, and internships (age-dependent)

If you do not wish for your junior golfer to receive these operational or opportunity-related emails, we encourage you to enter a secondary unique guardian email (not your junior’s) instead.

We take your family’s privacy seriously. Our policy is available on our website and is fully compliant with all state and federal regulations.

Thank you for supporting Youth on Course and helping us keep your member experience smooth, secure, and personalized.
