Why can't the app locate a member's details?
The app will require the exact member details for membership validation.
If you’re a junior member or guardian, the app can’t find a profile when the member details don’t match exactly what’s on file. For membership validation, the app requires the precise membership number, email, zip code, full name, and date of birth—including capitalization, punctuation, and spacing. First, double‑check each field; if it’s your first time using the app, choose Create Account and link to your membership with the exact details. If the error continues, email membersupport@youthoncourse.org for the correct member details.
Overview
You’re trying to sign in or link a membership, but the app says it can’t find your details. Most often, the information entered doesn’t match our records exactly. Because Youth on Course protects each member’s account, the app validates against an exact combination of membership number, email, full name, and birthdate.
This article speaks to: junior members, guardians, and (for awareness) course partners.
How It Works
Step‑by‑Step: Fix “Can’t Locate Member”
- Confirm your details exactly
- Use the full legal name on the membership (watch capitalization, hyphens/apostrophes, suffixes).
- Make sure the zip code matches the address entered during registration.
- Enter the birthdate in the required format.
- Use the email on file for the membership.
- If prompted, enter your membership number precisely (copy/paste to avoid typos).
- First time in the app? Create your login
- Go to https://app.yocgolf.org/ → Create Account.
- Verify your member details (name, birthdate, email, zip code and, if requested, membership number) so the app can link your existing membership.
- Cross‑check your card online (optional)
- Visit https://youthoncourse.org/print-membership-card and enter the member’s name and birthdate to view the printable card and confirm what’s on file.
- Still getting an error?
- Email membersupport@youthoncourse.org and ask us to confirm the exact member details on file for validation.
Helpful Tips
- Match capitalization and punctuation exactly (e.g., McDonald vs. Mcdonald; O’Neil vs. ONeil).
- Remove extra spaces before/after names or emails.
- If your family shares an inbox, ensure you’re using the correct email on file for this member.
- If you recently updated your email or name through your local association, the change might not appear yet—contact membersupport@youthoncourse.org to verify.
