What happens after a course partner reports an incident?
After an incident is submitted in the Clubhouse, Youth on Course uses the report to follow up with the member and/or guardian based on the selected resolution.
When a course partner reports an incident through the Report Incident button in the Clubhouse, the report is submitted to Youth on Course and may trigger an automated response to the member and/or their parent or guardian.
Course partners should be thoughtful when writing incident notes. The notes entered in the report may be sent directly to the member and/or guardian, so they should be clear, factual, and appropriate for the family to read.
When submitting an incident, course partners will select a desired resolution. Possible outcomes include:
Warning
A warning sends an automated message to the member and/or guardian. This message may include the course partner’s incident notes.
Suspension
A suspension temporarily pauses the member’s account and sends follow-up communications. Reactivation may require corrective training, an approved apology letter, or other steps determined by Youth on Course.
Termination
Termination immediately ends the member’s Youth on Course benefits. This is reserved for severe cases.
Youth on Course encourages course partners to report incidents when needed. We cannot address issues we are unaware of, and consistent reporting helps Youth on Course support course partners, identify patterns, and address member behavior appropriately.
