How do I check in at the course after booking a tee time through GolfNow?
Check in with course staff when you arrive and have your booking confirmation ready. Youth on Course membership was already confirmed when you booked, so you don’t need to show your Youth on Course membership card or have your member number checked at the course. The Youth on Course Code of Conduct still applies at every course.
How is GolfNow check-in different from a regular Youth on Course round?
| Regular Youth on Course round | Tee time booked in the app through GolfNow | |
|---|---|---|
| How you book | Follow the course’s own booking instructions in the Course Directory | Tee Time Search in the Youth on Course app (Guardian accounts only) |
| Membership check | At the course. Staff confirm membership with your Youth on Course membership card or member number. | During booking. No card or member number check is needed at the course. |
| What to bring | Your Youth on Course membership card (in the app) | Your GolfNow booking confirmation |
| Courses | Youth on Course partner courses | Partner courses and some courses outside the partner network |
Why don’t I need my membership card for a GolfNow booking?
Eligibility and your rate were confirmed when the booking was made in the Youth on Course app. The course doesn’t need to check membership again.
This matters most at courses outside the regular Youth on Course partner network. Some GolfNow tee times are at these courses, and their staff may not know the usual Youth on Course check-in. Your reservation doesn’t depend on that check-in, because eligibility and your rate are already part of the booking.
What should I do when I arrive?
- Arrive early so you have time to check in before your tee time.
- Go to the pro shop or check-in desk and tell staff you have a tee time booked through GolfNow.
- Show your booking confirmation. This can be found in the app under "reservations" tab in the "play" section.
- Follow the course’s check-in rules. Each course runs check-in its own way, and some may ask for ID or other details.
What’s the difference between a prepaid tee time and paying at the course?
| Prepaid | Pay at the course | |
|---|---|---|
| When you pay | At checkout in the app | When you check in at the course |
| At check-in | Show your confirmation. The rate is already paid. | Show your confirmation and pay the rate you booked |
| Extras | Anything not in your rate, like range balls or food, is paid at the course | Same |
Your rate, including whether it’s cart or walking, was set when you booked. Your booking confirmation shows which type of reservation you have.
Does the Youth on Course Code of Conduct apply at non-partner courses?
Yes. The Youth on Course Code of Conduct applies to every round you book through the app, including rounds at courses outside the regular partner network. Respect the course, its staff, other golfers and the course’s rules.
Do I need my Youth on Course membership card to check in for a GolfNow tee time?
No. Membership was confirmed when you booked. Bring your booking confirmation.
Do I still need to check in with staff?
Yes. Always check in at the pro shop or check-in desk and follow the course’s rules.
What if the course isn’t a Youth on Course partner?
That’s fine. Eligibility and your rate were set when you booked, so the course doesn’t need to do a Youth on Course membership check.
Do I pay anything at the course?
Only if your reservation is pay-at-course, or if you buy extras that aren’t part of your rate.
