Membership FAQs

  • How long does a Youth on Course membership last?

YOC membership is typically annual, with renewal taking place 365 days from the first day of membership or the previous renewal date. In some parts of the country, YOC membership lasts through the end of the calendar year.
  • How much does a Youth on Course membership cost?

Membership costs vary, but generally range between $5 to $60 annually. Prices are set by the Allied Golf Associations we partner with in each region.

Curious to see the price in your region? Within the first step of the registration process, you can enter your zip code to view the annual membership fee before signing up. You can also reach out to contact@youthoncourse.org for regional pricing information.

  • How old do you have to be to join Youth on Course?

Youth ages 18 and under are eligible for a YOC membership.

Course partner FAQs

  • When do facilities receive their subsidy checks?

We’ll cut a check to your facility once a month (typically around the first week of the new month).
  • How will my course keep track of how many members play so we can get the right reimbursement?

We have an easy-to-use online check-in system. You can set your custom login credentials and begin checking in YOC members in just a few clicks.
  • How will I know if kids are Youth on Course members when they check in?

YOC members should show their digital membership cards (accessible within the YOC app) when they check in. If a member doesn't have access to their digital membership card, you will still be able to verify their membership by looking them up by name within your course portal.

Donor FAQs

  • Is my donation tax deductible?

Youth on Course is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. The Federal Tax ID Number is 94-3108575. Youth on Course provides a tax receipt to the donor for all charitable gifts.

  • How does Youth on Course use my donation?

Charitable gifts pay for subsidized rounds, internship salaries and college scholarships for our members, and for other program and staff costs. The vast majority of gifts directly impact youth through our programs.

  • How do I include Youth on Course in my living will, trust or estate planning?

The most common way people remember Youth on Course in a will or living trust is through a charitable bequest. You do not have to rewrite your current documents. You simply add an amendment, called a codicil, to your will or living trust. Here is some suggested language you can have your attorney review:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Youth on Course (tax I.D. 94-3108575), located in Pebble Beach, California, the sum of __________ dollars ($ __________)(…or state a percentage of your estate, or describe real or personal property, including exact location) for the benefit of its general purposes (or specify Youth on Course program you wish to support)."
