Over $265,00 Raised at the 100 Hole Hike at The Hay

Beautiful weather, many holes-in-one, and an enthusiastic group of Hikers made this year's 100 Hole Hike at The Hay at Pebble Beach one to remember. Joined by Youth on Course ambassadors Roger Steele, Hally Leadbetter, and Nick Dimengo , the group spent the day on the course for a purpose bigger than the game: helping more young people experience golf for $5 or less.

Between every 9-hole round completed, every shared laugh, and Bunchies fueling the day as the official Hike snack, the event brought together a community united by a belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to play.

For Shawn Sailing, who has taken on the 100 Hole Hike five times, that commitment has become something worth returning to year after year.

“This is the fifth year Jenny and I have hiked. It’s the most fun event. You’re playing with friends and people who aren’t friends yet but become friends. It’s all about the kids. We firmly believe that access to golf for every youth out there is essential. We’re fortunate enough to be in a situation where we’re involved with kids who have those opportunities, and we want to make those opportunities available to everybody.”

For Roger, Hally, and Nick, the 100 Hole Hike is another opportunity to connect their love of golf with the Youth on Course mission and help more young golfers find their place in the sport.

“This is my fifth year hiking. It’s one of my favorite days of the year because I finally get to feel like my game is doing something good for the world other than serving myself. I’d be remiss if I weren’t a part of this.” - Roger Steele, Youth on Course Ambassador

As the day unfolded, each hiker helped turn a shared challenge into meaningful opportunities for the next generation.

Together, this year's Hikers and supporters raised over $265,000, helping make more than 38,000 Youth on Course rounds possible.

Each round gives a young person the chance to build skills, confidence, and connections through golf, without cost standing in the way.

“Youth on Course allows kids who wouldn’t necessarily get out on the course, to do so. It’s such a low barrier to entry, and that’s golf’s problem: it’s really difficult to get out there, and it’s too expensive to play. Youth on Course makes it easy and provides that opportunity.” — Hally Leadbetter, Youth on Course Ambassador

Thank you to Pebble Beach Resorts, our ambassadors, hikers, and supporters for making this day possible and helping open doors for young people.
