New Youth on Course Board Members Announced

Beginning in 2019, Youth on Course – the non-profit organization providing young people with life-changing opportunities through golf – will add three new members to its Board of Directors. The addition of Kathryn H. Wiggans, Kevin Peyton and Jeff Rhodenbaugh, alongside colleagues, will deliver strategic organizational direction with the goal of strengthening and expanding Youth on Course’s impact on young people everywhere.

Kathryn Wiggans has devoted her life serving youth. Starting as a Registered Nurse at Beth Israel Hospital (Boston, Mass.), a Harvard University teaching hospital, she later worked in the pharmaceutical industry in R&D and sales. Wiggans has contributed to many nonprofits, holding a variety of leadership and fundraising positions, including President of the Parent’s Association at St. Joseph’s School (Atherton, Calif.), co-President of the Parent’s Association of Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, Calif.), and Chair of the annual auction for Sacred Heart Schools, surpassing previous revenue records. Kathryn earned a B.S. in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) and an MBA from Babson College (Wellesley, Mass.). She and her husband of 31 years, Tom, live in Atherton, California and have two grown daughters.

Kevin Peyton, Vice President of Sales for VirtualPBX, leads the sales department’s focus on customer acquisition, revenue growth and helps to maintain customer retention and ethical business practices. Over the past 15 years, he’s served on a variety of committees at his home course, San Jose Country Club, including the Executive, Finance, Greens, Governance Task Force and History. In 2011, Peyton served as President of the club, overseeing the implementation of a “General Manager,” membership sales program and numerous other projects. Peyton is a member of the Northern California Golf Association Board of Directors and sits on the Hall of Fame, Operations and Growth committees. Kevin earned a B.S. in Business from San Jose State University (San Jose, Calif.). He and his wife Melanie reside in San Jose with their three teenage daughters.

Jeff Rhodenbaugh spent his career in the food & beverage equipment sector, serving commercial, retail, and specialty restaurant industries. He is the owner of S&J Group, LLC., assisting industry professionals through strategic consulting. Prior to starting S&J Group, Rhodenbaugh held various executive leadership positions, including President and Chairman of Carrier Commercial Refrigeration and President & CEO of Specialty Equipment Companies. He’s collaborated on several boards, currently serving on the advisory board for Bargreen Ellington, a major food equipment distributor and previously Board of Trustees for Benedictine University (Lisle, Ill.). Jeff earned a B.S. in Business from San Diego State (San Diego, Calif.). He currently lives in Greenville, S.C. with his wife Sherry and has two adult children.

Six members from Youth on Course’s Board of Directors will complete their tenures – Bill Hammonds (past chair), Patrick Quinn (past chair), Tom Bone, Vaughn Kezirian, Ed Quinn and Kathy Jaunich. The organization and its members significantly benefitted from these individuals’ generosity and unwavering support. Their service is greatly appreciated.
