When working in the non-profit industry there are little moments that remind you why you get up every day and do what you do. These moments are inspiring, and motivate us to keep growing our programs and seeking donations to continue the good work that we do.
At Youth on Course, we call these Mission Moments; moments that reflect the important work that we do and remind us why our mission, providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf, is important.
I wanted to share a recent Mission Moment with you:
Recently a young man called me to request a new Youth on Course card be sent to him. I picked up the phone and could immediately hear and feel the happiness and excitement in his voice:
"I was just adopted and since I am only 14 and I don't have a drivers license yet - my Youth on Course card is the only card I have with my name on it in my wallet - so I would like to have it changed with my new last name."
Youth on Course is making a difference in the lives of kids. We couldn't do it without our generous donors and supporters.
